In Memory

Michael Hubbard

Mike was one of my best friends growing up. We met at Alameda Junior High in 1983. Mike always treated everyone with respect and dignity. I will remember Mike as a good friend, father, and husband - not to mention that my first trip to Juarez was with Mike in 1987! Kirk Clifton

We all ran together from junior high on and he was a great friend to have. He wanted to be a Marine so bad that he worked his butt off to graduate the semester before all of us. The last memory I have of him was after we both got back from Iraq, having drinks over at Kirk's house, trading stories about what we had to deal with in Iraq. He was a warrior and a great citizen to this country. He will be missed.

Its always a sad thing to hear about a fellow classmate passing. Mike was a good person and will always be missed.

Mike and I had know each other since Conlee Elementary, clear through to graduation from Mayfield, and I thought of him like a brother. Mike was the kind of guy that would always have your back good or bad; knew when to kick you in the butt or talk you through the hard times, and he knew how to have a good time. I unfortunatly lost touch with him after graduation when we both joined the Corps, but we had a brief reunion in 2001 when I had the pleasure of meeting his family. As life would have it, we lost touch again until I was told about his familys loss last year.
I hope all the members of the "Crew" still in the Cruces area (you know who you are) will honor his name and comfort his family as much as possible!
Mike was a dedicated husband, proud father, loving brother, good friend and one of our nations heroes!
SEMPER FI and God Bless. Don

My Homey and fellow Offensive tackle. I will never forget the crazy shit we did together. I pray for you and Yvette. Mike, we will never be 18 again but I know for a fact that you will have some of your famous frog juice ready for me when I get there. Just no throwing up in my room anymore! Go easy, old friend until we meet again!
